This photo was taken in front of Amy’s Country Store in Kunkletown, Pa. in July 2009 when Kenny and I did the Ramapo 500 ride.
Who doesn’t feel just a wee bit silly when they say Kunkletown? Seriously. Say it out loud. Kunkle… town
A little chuckle?
A snicker?
Anything?
Where is the laughter? Doesn’t anyone remember laughter?
::sigh:: I don’t know about you guys.

We have lots of fun town names to play with, here in PA. They’re even more fun when you say them with the ‘dutchie’ (which is really German) accent. Town is pronounced more like “tahn”
I’m pretty sure that the g’store is Amy’s not Andy’s….but i guess with all the laughing about our town’s name your eyes were filled with tears and you couldn’t clearly read the sign over the front door. Legend has it, that Mr. Kunkle – for whom the town is named, was the paid substitute for our President (Mr. Lincoln) during the War to Save the Union.
Yes, you’re right. It is Amy’s I’ll correct my post. Tnx
